About me
I was born in Lincolnshire and as a young man travelled widely in India, Iran and the Middle East. I trained as a journalist, working in newspapers before joining the BBC as a producer, correspondent and documentary maker. My literary influences include the psychological thrillers of Georges Simenon and Pascal Garnier, the short stories of Murakami and the comic noir of writers like Patrick deWitt and Hannelore Cayre. I live in Hampshire.
